boy brought home some tomatoes yesterday

 Not enough to can, but too many to "keep". a dozen - 5lb or so

I'm thinking of saucing them. and have a "down and dirty" idea for removing the skins quickly w/o waiting for the caldron to come to a boil.

  Acetylene torch work really well on green chiles. Skin blisters before anything can cook. It hot. It worth a try
