  1. We have had a sample of our final product tested for residual solvents by Steep Hill in Oakland, CA. The results are 3100 ppm (parts per milion) and the safww level is 5000 ppm. The actual report is attached HERE.

Do Not Smoke It. If you can taste it it is not purged. The OilXGree makes ti so easy to purge. We did a quick purge using only hot water to heat the extract. We did not use any vacuum pump or any other device to complete the purge. When we had it tested by Steep Hill in Oakland, CA they rated it to have 3000 parts per million. The safe range is 5000 parts per million. I know the parts per million could easily reduced even farther. Just heat and stir a little more. We will be publishing the report shortly.

Pentane like any solvent will have a maximum amount of THC it can hold. You might want to do a second soak to ensure you have extracted all of the THC. Soaking time should be about the same but it wouldn't hurt to increase it a bit. It does not help to crumble up your cannabis before soaking. It will cause the extract to darken in color.
  5. I am still perfecting my recipe for making crumble. I am not entirely sure which of the steps I take are significant but here they are.1) Extracting from an oz or two usually yields 3 to 6 grams of oil. Typically, there will be a few more grams of Pentane that is purged via this recipe.2) I place a Petri dish on a heat source. Lately, I have been using a bowl of hot water and then floating a shallow pan on the water. Then I place the Petri dish in the center of the floating pan. This provides a fairly failsafe system of applying the heat.3) I poor the extract mixture into a now hot Petri dish. The temperature of the water at this point should be around 180 degrees. The Pentane will start to boil off. As long as there is Pentane in the mixture, the temperature in the Petri dish will not exceed 98 degrees.4) Soon the mixture will thicken. The temp will rise to about 160 degrees in the Petri dish. The lightest terpenes will begin to boil.5) Stir the mixture with a toothpick or something. The oil will get frothy.6) Now add a few ice cubes to the hot water. Keep stirring. You want the temp to cool down to below 135 degrees fairly quickly so as to preserve terpenes.7) When the oil starts to stick to the toothpick you are done stirring.8) Let the the water cool to room temp. This should take an hour or two. I usually have small fan at this point blowing across the Petri dish.9) Check it out in the morning and hope the alchemy worked!I have a cheap laser thermometer that helps me monitor temps. Don't always use it but for 20 bucks, a good investment.I have done this with freshly harvested and then quickly frozen homegrown and properly cured flower. Works MOST of the time. When it doesn't, I still get fine smokable product but not as convenient as crumble. Not sure why it doesn't work when it doesn't work. Might be that the temp ranges are more sensitive, or maybe I boiled it at the 160 degree stage too long, or not long enough, or maybe the material I was working with or maybe the Moon aligned with Saturn, or possibly the background music. Not sure. So, let me know how this works for you and any observations you have on how to best make the this primitive method consistently work. If any of this provokes any questions, please ask.

    DIY Hash Oil and Concentrates

Hello everyone I would like to show you a new system for making hash oil and marijuana concentrates at home. It is called OilXGreen (www.oilxgreen.net) and costs less than $200. It uses Pentane as a solvent. Pentane works well for extracting THC as it extracts only the desired components. No need to winterize or remove waxes. Check out the video to see just how easy it is to create hash oil and other extracts at home.

  15. Hello everyone just wanted to brag a little about the crumble I just made. I did this using freshly harvested plants. There was no drying time involved. This works very nicely in my vaporizer and is easy to work with. The OilXGreen system makes it easy to do this at home.
